Place uncooked chicken breasts in the slow cooker with a few delicious ingredients. The result tastes like it was made in a fine Florence eatery.

1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Directions
1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
2. Sear the chicken breasts in the skillet for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Transfer the chicken to the slow cooker.
3. In a bowl, mix together the heavy cream, chicken broth, sun-dried tomatoes, oregano, and basil. Pour the mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
4. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
5. In the last 30 minutes of cooking, sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the chicken and sauce.
6. Before serving, stir the sauce and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve the chicken with the creamy sauce over your favorite side.
Variations & Tips
For a lighter version, substitute the heavy cream with half-and-half or coconut milk. If your family loves a bit of spice, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce. You can also add spinach or kale during the last 30 minutes for extra greens. For a cheesy twist, try melting some mozzarella on top before serving.
